Saalbach is a fun filled, easy going Austrian village set in the heart of beautiful Salzburgerland. The large ski area, known as the Ski Circus thanks to the well linked lift systems of Saalbach and neighbouring Hinterglemm, is superb, you can pretty much ski the whole day without repeating a run or going down to the village. Wandering around the shops and bars is made more enjoyable as the centre of the village is traffic free.
